Southfield Road Park was a project that was started many years ago.

The Ainsley Residents Association, Robert Shaw School and the Lib Dem Councillors at the time, Gary Long and Alex Foster, wanted to get this field back in to use.

After a lot of time spent working with the council and finding the funds to make this happen it is finally ready.
Lib Dem campaigner, Saghir Akhtar said, it’s great to finally see the park being used, and thanks to the effort of everyone involved it’s now an area we can all be proud of.”
