Old planning notices have been left all around Leen Valley by the Council.

The Council have to put up planning notices around the area to tell residents of any applications that might affect them. These notices are usually attached to lampposts but the Focus Team have seen them wrapped around trees.

Local Campaigner Saghir Akhtar said “The Council have to put these notices put as they are legally required to do. After the expiry date the least they could do is get someone to take them down again instead of just leaving them hanging around.”

Saghir continued “I have seen them all over and have taken quite a few out-of-dates ones down as they look a mess.”
