After losing their seats in May both Gary and Alex had to look for work.

Alex is now training to be a teacher and Gary has a job with Ruddington Parish Council. Because his role involves dealing with parish councillors Gary feels that it is better if he steps back from frontline politics for a while.

A number of new people have now joined Alex on the editorial team: Alison Rouse, Jennie Coggles, Tim Ball and Tom Stephenson.

Gary said “It has been an honour and a privilege to represent and work with the people in Leen Valley Ward, and before that Robin Hood Ward, for 18 years.

I enjoyed it immensely and am sure that the new editorial team will do so as well. I will be giving them my help ‘behind the scenes’.”
