More cars are still going down Chadwick Road say local people. Last year the Council changed the junction of Bobbers Mill Road and Alfreton Road. At the time local folks said that this would mean more traffic would go down Chadwick Road – which was already narrow and packed with parked cars. The Council said the problem would get better and promised a survey to check this.

The Focus Team have been calling round the area. They have been told:

• No one has seen the Council doing the traffic survey they promised.
• No one has heard from the Council about it.
• The problem has not got any better.
• The local (Labour) councillors have not asked local folk about it.

Local campaigner Tom Stephenson said “This is not good enough. The Council should follow through on their promise. And if they don’t the local councillors should make sure they do. What a let down.”
