We should always celebrate success in Britain. But success shouldn’t mean that you can avoid paying your fair share.

Many right wing Conservatives actually think that the richest pay too much! Only the Lib Dems will make the super-rich pay their fair share.

The Lib Dems are fighting for a mansion tax on houses worth more than £1million and a new tax on the wealth of the super-rich.

Across the UK there are one in every 200 homes worth more than £1million. In Nottingham there are 52 of these mansions. The owners of pay just £62 a week in council tax whilst most other people are paying £44 a week.

The Lib Dems think mansion owners should pay more tax on their wealth so that the rest of us can pay less tax.
